To remove corrosion and rust, you need to get hold of a pair of hand gloves, a scrub brush, sandpaper, and some rags. For stubborn rust, grab a chemical rust remover, some vinegar, and salt to clear off the corroded area. 


After use, store your ratchet wrenches in a clean, moisture-free place. To restore a new-like ratchet wrench, you just have to replace the backend plate.
